Holding the rank of Naik in the Sikkim Police, Bhutia is currently posted in the Prosecution Branch of the Pakyong District Court. Balancing a demanding career in public service with elite-level sports, he represents discipline in its truest form.

International Breakthrough

Bhutia achieved global recognition at the World Strength Lifting Championship 2025 held in Pattaya, Thailand (July 16–19, 2025).

His outstanding performance earned him:

• Gold Medal in Strength Lifting – lifting an impressive 230 kg
• Gold Medal in Inclined Bench Press – lifting 128 kg

These victories marked a historic moment for both Sikkim Police and the state’s sporting community.
